“The irony is that hashish has been demonized, whereas the extreme consumption of alcohol, a literal poison, is well known. Because of this we imagine strongly within the normalization and de-stigmatization of hashish.”

Owen Allerton, a former director with Blackberry, says that whereas alcohol is commonplace in company environments regardless of its harms, hashish nonetheless carries a stigma.

“A startup with beer within the fridge is seen as ‘cool’, and it’s solely regular for a gross sales chief to take a staff out for an evening in town, leading to hangovers throughout,” he notes in an emailed assertion. “Those that can ‘deal with their alcohol’ are the heroes, and those that can’t, are playfully mocked.”
